Do you like my stand that the shapes are sitting on? Al's mom gave it to me so that I could reach things in the apartment.
'Till tomorrow, friends. I hope you're enjoying better weather than I'm experiencing here!
I went straight home from work today. No gym, no nothing. My leg is aching, and it's RAINING. I really shouldn't complain since Adelaide needs rain, but it's going to be overcast and wet for the next week. I was planning on going to a cheese festival on Sunday with some friends, but it looks like we're not going due to the weather. I came home and snacked on some pizza shapes with my roomie. These things are addicting. I wouldn't usually buy them, but SOMEONE else always puts them in our shopping cart. Do you like my stand that the shapes are sitting on? Al's mom gave it to me so that I could reach things in the apartment. Al picked up Subway for himself, and I made my gnocchi. Gnocchi, if you don't already know, is one of my favorite foods in the world. I always loved it, but I started my real love affair with the food when I spent my semester abroad in Italy. I took a field trip with my classmates to Tuscany where we prepared a 7-course meal, including gnocchi. We peeled the potatoes, mixed in the flour, rolled it out, cut it up and made the fork marks. After that, I never looked back. I buy my gnocchi every week. It serves two people, but I almost always eat the whole thing. I won't leave a trace, no matter how full I get. It's so fast and easy to make. I boil the water, throw 'em in and wait for them to rise to the top. Once the water is ready, it takes 3 minutes max. I make my gnocchi the same way every week: extra virgin olive oil, pasta sauce and parmesan cheese. I don't throw in any beer, in case you were wondering.... The finished product. I have a physio (translation: physical therapy) appointment tomorrow afternoon. It's a block away from my work, so I should have no problem sneaking away for an hour. I hope it goes okay!
'Till tomorrow, friends. I hope you're enjoying better weather than I'm experiencing here!

Jen, your recipes and Elsja's look amazing! How was your physio appt? I can't believe my hip does not hurt one little bit! Two weeks ago I was in agony! My legs feel pretty good today, too. How is that all possible after running 26.6 miles on Sunday? I feel so blessed! xo

Hey--what's with all the food pictures and recipes? I'm getting VERY hungry!! I'm going to have to investigate gnocchi. Also, have you forgotten Poptart Smores? You need to see if they sell them downunder (I love writing that.) Hope your hip improves honey. Sometimes the pain just disappears on its own. I think it figures after it has tortured you a bit it moves on to some other unsuspecting tourist. XOXO
