I was not happy to go to work this morning. You know when you have those dreams that are so amazing, and then your alarm goes off and ruins everything? It was one of those mornings. The weather is unseasonably chilly, the sky was a perfect shade of gray and I really just couldn't be bothered getting on a crowded bus to work. Then, my mom texted me a picture that made all of those ill feelings go away. How unbelievably cute is that face with the perky little ears? That dog on my bed in Chicago (the most comfortable bed in the world) is my brother Jon's dog Libby. She lives with him in Houston, and she flew up to Chicago with him for Thanksgiving. She spent a long weekend with my family, including the four dogs. Libby and I are mutually obsessed with each other. She's moving to Chicago with Jon next summer, so I'll get to see her when I'm home. The cake was a hit at work, by the way! My body should be happy that I didn't consume it all by myself. Maybe some other time, but not with summer on its way!
