Although most countries don't have a public holiday on this day, it's still traditional to have a minute of silence at 11 am.
I sadly didn't know anything about it until after the fact. Evidently, we didn't do anything in our office. I'm not sure how common it is to do the 'moment of silence' in classrooms and workplaces. This day of remembrance is overshadowed these days by Anzac Day, which is a public holiday. It takes place on April 25.
In America, we call today Veteran's Day.
I don't take pictures of everything that goes in my mouth like a food blogger, but I like to document the pretty things that I put together. For lunch today, I had a lettuce and cherry tomato salad and cous cous with olive oil, chick peas and curry powder. Cous cous takes me about five minutes to make, and it's so filling. I love taking it for lunch.
